theres a suspense component in the tank movement compared to modern "the last of us" copy and paste sprint and cover
the ambient, color gradient, soundtrack are also polished to extreme in those games to enhance fear

Woooow that’s an elaborate way to describe it, mirin hard. Yeah you’re right I have to play it myself to experience it but unfortunately I’m not a gamer. When I was younger I did play the OG RE4 on PC though! My favorite game was definitely Silent Hill but for PSP.
