Replacing Alcohol

I’m taking accutane now, so I need to dial down my drinking or stop it completely. However my mates will all still wanna go out and I don’t wanna seem ND asf by not going out cause fuck going out sober. Anyone got recommendations for substances to replace alcohol? Not really a fan of opioids or things along those lines. Precciate it.

That's not a given. Caffeine affects people pretty differently, and if OP already drinks caffeine regularly, the anxiety response is usually blunted by tolerance. So it wouldn't be a disqualifier.

Also the point wasn't really about the benefit. OP already mentioned it was to have SOMETHING in hand socially that isn't alcohol. I would say caffeine does that job fine.
