How you get the reps matters just like with money, if you repfarm does it really have any value?

If you sell drugs on the other hand, you can buy stuff atleast

I'd say replying is like working for your employer (Original poster/OP), you make him profit by working for him (replying) and getting more traction to his product (thread), for that you get your pay (reps).
