hello, i know username changes are normally vip only and i understand the rule. i am not trying to bypass it or pressure anyone, i just wanted to ask politely if an exception could be considered in my situation.
i chose my current username more than a year ago, at a time where i did not put much thought into how it could be interpreted long term. since then, the connotation around it has changed and many users now consider it grey or borderline, which was never my intention when i picked it.
because of that, my username ended up creating unnecessary reactions and misunderstandings, and over time it honestly made me less comfortable posting. that is a big reason why i have not been very active recently, even though i still read the forum from time to time.
for context, i did pm a few of the main admins about this around 3 to 5 months ago, but i did not get a response. i fully understand admins are busy and that pms can get missed, which is why i am making this public thread instead of repeating messages privately.
i would really prefer to change to a neutral username so interactions stay focused on the content instead of the name. if this is accepted, i genuinely plan to be more active again and contribute normally without feeling held back by my username.
i completely understand if the answer is no and i will respect whatever decision is made. i just wanted to ask calmly and respectfully rather than let the issue sit forever.
thank you for your time and for running the forum.
