If you think reselling is actually dead your are genuine iqlet and don’t understand what reselling truly is.
1 Why people think it’s dead
There’s thousands of 13 year olds trying to resell fake shitty Ralph Lauren and Stussy on Vinted, they will all fail because there’s another guy selling the same shitty stuff for cheaper until it’s not worth anything, and that’s if it doesn’t get banned by Vinted’s new AI, it’ll probably take down your reps even if they’re good. There’s literally tens of thousands of people all following the exact same business model and expecting to make money, genuine Neanderthal behaviour, reselling isnt dead it just seems dead cause everyone does the exact same fucking thing and they all fail.
2 Literally thousands of potential business models
I don’t think people understand how genuinely overpowered reselling and selling in general is, you can literally sell anything depending on what apps you use, personally I would stick to clothes but don’t completely rule out any other thing that would sell because there will should always be a market for what your selling, avoid any items that won’t have a semi devoted fan base for atleast a phew months, I’ve tried it and it’s never worth it unless your able to secure your supplies quickly, and if you don’t sell your finished.
3 Advice for traditional reselling
Fair enough if you want to start with the basic, buy and sell reps model but you should eventually hope to divert away from it unless your some how are able to fit into this niche to where you actually make a decent sum of money, some points you can use are:
1. Use Depop unless your reps are really good, you’ll get banned on Vinted other wise
2. Actually take good photos, most important thing, shouldn’t take long either just search some tutorials
3. Boosting will be worth it nine times out of ten cause Depop barely pushes unboosted stuff, it's Not as lenient as Vinted
4 Dont be an idiot
Do your research and make sure your stuff sells and is good quality, aslong as you give yourself time to grow and don’t sell the same stuff as anyone also you’ll be good.
If you have any advice for resellers or disagree with anything Ive said post just reply
