Of course you'll cringe at yourself but improving yourself is a pain in most cases

Unfortunately, a lot of what you think you are observing is simply the halo effect. The guy looks amazing, so what he does looks amazing.

That being said, if you want to improve your speaking and gestures, you NEED to film yourself. Think about it. How do you get better at anything?
