I'm 17 and have gone through a Invisalign treatment and are now on retainers.

Wouldn't my retainers prevent grow in my maxilla and mandible as it holds my teeth and jaw in one place? I mean how could my palate and maxilla even grow if I use my retainers?

Is retainers cope at a young age?

It shouldn't unless you're extracting and retracting. always expand and protract.

if the doctor asks to remove adult teeth, gtfo of there
retainers will help you as your mandible doesn’t naturally grow on its own and you will likely recess without retainer/invisalign

clean ur invisalign lots though, see a lot of people with invisalign with disgusting chunks of food inside the invisalign

Ur maxilla and mandible pretty much done growing at 17 anyway gang
and also they wouldn't stunt growth regardless. it acts on the teeth only, so a piece of plastic on your teeth is nowhere strong enough to prevent movement of two big ass bones like the maxilla and mandible

are switching to fixed retainers now

Switching to fixed retainers on upper 4 teeth and lower 6. Ain't stunting any potential growth.

ask for an expander
Dont think I have a narrow palate, only want a potentially wider. Expander and Invisalign should not work together tho. Btw switching to fixed retainer instead.
