Retinoids burn off my face

I use adapalene 0.1% + benzoyl peroxide 2.5% every night as prescribed by my doctor for acne treatment, and it burns like fucking crazy and burns even more when I moisturise afterwards. Is it the benzoyl peroxide?? I can’t go in the sun for more than 2 minutes without my face feeling extremely red and flushed/stingy. I’ve stopped using it the past 3 days and now my skin is just really dry but it doesn’t burn. Fuck this shit. Any tips?

it’s called epiduo, it’s a cream with them mixed together. i’d rather tretinoin
