retinoids dont work

i use some sort of strong retinoid that i got from my doctor but it doesnt really work (right),i apply it at night and the most got away but my skin is peeling consistently like im a fucking lizzard,but every time i wake up i have new ones wtf should i do

If your skin is peeling then it IS working, your skin cell turnover rate is increasing

If you have bad acne it'll take 3-4 months atleast

Use cleanser twice a day depending on how oily your skin is

Don't use retinoids everyday. If you're just starting out, use it once every 3/4 depending how your skin handles it, after a few weeks do once every 3 days, then after another few weeks do it once every 2 days. Don't do it everyday that's bad

And keep your skin hydrated. A lot. Use a quality moisturizer

You need to use spf, and u need to have a routine for tret. How do u have 2k posts and don't know this??

Also, apply moisturizer right after cleanser, when your skin is damp(just a little wet), it's better than applying on completely dry skin

i use steroids i didnt give a fuck about my skin until it got so bad,i already have spf but i thought ur supposed to apply tret every day
