Why not? Should prevent skin from aging. I think I will try retinol.

retinol is soy version of tretinoin :soy:

If you can get tretonin get it, if not just get retinol. Both are worth but tretonin is better.

I would use it regularly but probably not every night. It's still beneficial if I don't use it every night, right?

Don't use retinol it's literally just a much weaker version of retin a (essentially) and costs literally 10x the amount (supermarket vs alldaycurrycel )

Start with 0.025% every other day or 2/3 days,
Eventually work your way up to 0.1% nightly

Use moisturizer 15-25 mins after applying and use sunscreen when in sun.

How long does 30 ml of Retinol last?

I use apply moisturizer and sunscreen every morning. Do I have to apply moisturizer in the evening if I use retinol or tretinoin?

Yes if use either use moisturizer (U should also use moisturizer day as night even if not using retinol/Tret at the end of morning/night Skincare routine

30ml should last about a month ish maybe a bit longer applied 1x a day

I have been moisturizing only in the morning after shower and before sunscreen. I guess I should start to moisturize in the evening when I use retinol.

30 ml Retinol lasts a month if used 1 x day? That doesn't sound very expensive: 30 ml of 1% Retinol costs less than 10 dollars.

If you don't use moisturizer before bed your skin will get dry ,especially using retinoids,oh ok the prices I see in stores irl are like $50 for 30ml.

Retinol 1% in squalane from the Ordinary is less than 10 dollars for 30 ml. Is this good? It definitely isn't too expensive for me. I don't know if I would use it every night, but if it lasts over a month I guess it's the same to use it every night.

My skin is pretty youthful. My skin doesn't look old. I would use retinol to prevent aging, not to heal any damage that has already occurred (because I don't have damaged/aged skin). 1% retinol during nights seems fine for this purpose, right?

Don't know as I've never used that specific product, but the ordinary as a whole is a very good Skincare line for cheap so I'd assume it is.

Yeah I mean if the Ordinary is a good brand then probably their 1% retinol is good too. They also sell some retinoids, dunno what's the difference. I think I will order 1% retinol from them and test it.

I ordered

The Ordinary Retinol 0.2% in Squalane 30 ml
The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% in Squalane 30 ml
The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane 30 ml

I will start with 0.2% and proceed to 0.5% and 1% if it doesn't irritate my skin. I'm not sure if I will use it every night, but at least every now and then.

I also ordered Glycolic Acid 7% Toning solution because some stacylite cosmetologist in Tinder recommended it to me along with retinol.

just eat real retinol (vitamin a) theory
