Reverse Pull Headgear

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about going to an orthodontist to see if I can get reverse-pull headgear. If I’m not mistaken, that’s used to correct an underdeveloped maxilla and can also help with downward growth. I just want to confirm if I’m correct about that, and if so, what I should say to an orthodontist in order to get it. I’m currently under my parents’ insurance, so ideally, I would want the cost partially covered by insurance. Also, please let me know if there are other orthodontic devices I should think about looking into. I’ve never been to an orthodontist, and I’m hoping for the best!
