Rhino on thick skin?

I have somewhat thick skin on my nose, so obviously a standard nose job wouldn’t do justice. I’ve been thinking of either getting an ethnic rhinoplasty or should I just stick to alar base reduction? Since my nostrils are mostly the issue and the tip. They aren’t bulbose but they just aren’t straight and sharp like a European nose.

Most males have thick skin but you right in that it will limt definition and refinement mostly in the tip. I think one of the big benefits of rhino is narrowing the nose as that opens th face more and draws attention to the eyes.

You can get an alarplasty as a stand alone but I don’t think you should just rule out tip improvements, mostly becuse thick skin is typical on males. Just ask to see before/afters of men, possibly your own ethnicity.

Agree, I should just ask a sugeron who is experienced with ethnic rhinoplatys in my state since my goal is to look as European as possible, I’ve already order my skin lighting kit. Well, I live in Atlanta. They’re lots of ethnics here and who mostly got rhinoplasty as well. So a sugeron who specializes working on ethnics noses wouldn’t be that hard to find.

They’ve gotten expensive though, my case is complicated and I was quoted at $20k, wish I could’ve done it years ago but inflation is only gonna jack that up even more so I want it ASAP.

The consultation was well worth the time and fee. Clinics have waiting periods for both consultations and surgeries so you wanna get on it.

Thicker skin is usually better for surgery
It gives surgeon more material to work with

I’m mixed, mostly Irish and my nose is very European but slightly thicker skin because I’m part black. But the skin thickness issue isn’t that big of a deal, even black guys on here have gotten rhinos, it might help though if you can ask your surgeon for more specific things other than to just make it look more white.

I don’t have the morphs yet but I have valve collapse (a medical issue) and a boxy bulbous tip. My goals are to breathe better and have the tip stop causing facial disharmony.

I was told about a week off from work and 6-12 months until all the swelling is all the way down and the whole thing is complete.
