Right and wrong are absolute and imo stupid terms (unless you are religious or somehow justify an objective moral truth, but even then what im saying applies)
Instead a more usefull lense is inappropriate vs appropriate.

Why? These terms force us to recognize context and subjectivity in some way.
Nothing is inherently, ontologically wrong, it is judged in relation to a man made framework.

Something isn't wrong, its inappropriate with certain presumption X or considering our societys value Y or the legal norm Z.

A genocide isn't wrong in some universal vacuum or something like that. It's inappropriate, under international law, if you personally presume human life has an inherent value, or if you operate in some sort of moral system that condemns it.

And even then it's still subjective as a determinate action or truth may be good for one individual or group, but bad for another.

If im on a desolate island with one other person and the food runs out, who ever is strongest kills the other person, no objective right / wrong. Just what is good for me / bad for me, and my ability / inability to make it a reality.

fuckass thread ig, not really fleshed out.

TLDR: Right and wrong make it look as if morality was absolute. Instead, use “appropriate” and “inappropriate”as they make it clear that judgments always depend on context, values, presumed truths and norms.

Right is what makes you closer to your goals, wrong is what gets you further than them.

it is because morality is objective and social norms are subjective, it's why we evolve to this level of morality we have now
