the abortion thing just baffles me how much mileage the American right has got out of claiming they're going to do something substantial about it. If they do anything at all it's usually something like when Mike Pence tried to ban the abortion of Downies but still allow it for healthy children. yeah, great.
another thing is the gay marriage issue. it's obviously not great that it is a thing but if the cuckservatives complaining about "the destruction of the family" actually cared about the issue they would target no fault divorce which is a much larger problem.
both of these are steam valves used to direct anger from their supporters at things like mass migration and outsourcing into pointless issues.
