if you wanna lose weight stop eating. ritalin for weight loss is retardedshould i take ritalin for weight loss? i know there are better options but ritalin will also help me with studying and being more focused. how effective is ritalin?
my brother used to be fat but he took that coz he has adhd and become skinny so fast. its kills appetiteif you wanna lose weight stop eating. ritalin for weight loss is retarded
or just…crazy idea…suppress your own appetite for freemy brother used to be fat but he took that coz he has adhd and become skinny so fast. its kills appetite

I would just use ritalin for the dopamine eating as im not obese or overweight but still not exactly skinny. dopamine eating is the reason for my body and im undiagnosed of adhd but some of my family members have it and ever since the start of using it my grades have also gotten better and my discipline. I decided to not use it for a week and my grades have lowered and I've been eating worse, gained weight.Ritalin will primarily restrain you from dopamine eating, e.g. grabbing a cookie because why not or sipping soda because why not (which is actually good if you have ADHD)
It entirely depends on you whether you are prone to such impulsive dopamine eating, given that you want to lose weight, it might just be the case that you are.
Ritalin is a dopamine reuptake inhibitor, so you will be less likely to do dopamine eating, however I don't think that it will lower your appetite in general, it's just going to make it easier for you to restrain from impulsive eating for quick dopamine response.
Having all of above in mind, if you don't have ADHD it's an absolutely wild decision to consider Ritalin a serious option for weight loss, even if you are planning to use it for other activities like studying. I should also hope that you are fairly certain that you have ADHD, otherwise methylphenidate is going to be a retarded option of treatment for lack of concentration, you might want to use modafinil or armodafinil instead.
