Hashimoto is the only common way for it tho, its hard to be undiagnosed hypothyroidism has obvious symptoms, dry af skin, nails super bendable, moon face from turbo bloat (bloating is vital sign of poor health, cortisol, low thyroid and estrogen cause bloated face). My girlfriend had sub clinical hypo and still had these big signs before getting levothyroxine.
