Road to BIMAX: 1st appointment

Today I had my first appointment with the Doctor, so I'll tell what happened.

Things went worse than I expected. The doctor was fucking mean to me and looked very uninterested in my case, and IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF MY LOOKS. He asked how old I am twice, and told me that for the next appointment I need to go with my parents JFL.

When I got there, a foid asked me to take a picture of me for a future "before & after" comparison. I had to smile and accept that subhuman picture

I explained all of my symptoms to the Doctor. I told him how my recession makes it hard for me to breathe normally and to sleep with my mouth closed. I also told him about my asymmetric face, and how it makes my bite very uncomfortable.

He asked me for all of this shit:

• Bimaxillary Cone Beam CT (3D scan of upper and lower jaw)
• TMJ Cone Beam CT (3D scan of temporomandibular joints)
• Lateral Cephalometric Radiograph (profile X-ray)
• Panoramic Radiograph (panoramic dental X-ray)
• Diagnostic Overnight Polysomnography (full night sleep study)

I'm very nervous about all of this. I think they want to do anything for me to NOT get this shit covered by insurance. FYM I NEED TO SLEEP IN A CLINIC FOR THEM TO KNOW IF I'M LARPING OR NOT

Theyre definitely scummy and want you and your parents to pay out of pocket.

Do anything you possibly can to prove to them that you’re not a larp.

Doctors and surgeons are usually rude and only care about whats in their pockets.

However still go along with it, is sleeping in a hospital really that bad compared to living the rest of your life with a recessed jaw? No.

Just being toxic and rude for no reason. I was super nice to him and tried my best to explain my symptoms without talking too much

If I looked like a 23 yo HTN he would've treated me with respect, I'M SURE OF IT. But since I got no dimo then he treats me like shit

He might change if your scans show it’s worse than he thinks

But if he continues to be an asshole you could always get a 2nd opinion from another surgeon

That’s always good regardless

I mean I will probably speak to 2 surgeons at least when I start pursuing bimax

And make sure when you get your scans and tests to get your own copy to your email

Then you can show other surgeons and people hefe

A good surgeons will just do the scans for you. They will make you pay, but they will do it.
