Yes, he's an actor, in my country whenever they show people on TV, there are often captions like this one, under the people's name, explaining what they do or what they are most famous for: actor, musician, politician, etc. Even when they interview random people on the streets they would add their title like: engineer, garbage man, beggar, unemployed, housewife, etc.
