In reality, it's rare for androgen receptors to be insensitive to DHT conversion.

I recently read an NCBI study that said the range is between 1 in 20,000 and 1 in 100,000 people.

Otherwise, you're right, it can take from 6 months to several years to see lasting results. But these days it's quite easy to get a prescription for testosterone and use it safely.
