Rotting on org and other forums can be preferable to IRL

IMO doing that can be preferable to socializing IRL. There's less risk involved bc it's the Internet but also entertaining things to read. It's like you can silently observe ongoing conversations and intentionally participate in ones that interest you. Can't do that IRL as far as im aware, unless you want to be constantly steering the conversation in a route no one wants to go on.
