Ahaha mine made everyone in set 1 take triple.
Well I was in set 2 so I did combined science higher. I can’t help you much with that but physics I can though.

Let’s do English which one you struggling with?

Lowkey, im just struggling with chemistry and physica HEAVILY

Lol we got saved bro for chemistry cause nobody in our set knew jack shit and we got lucky in the last 2 /3 weeks that we had a foreign teacher help us.

Honestly for that chemistry one yeah just memorise the practicals bro and answer those questions in practice papers they always come up at least 1 one of them. My friends hated titration but that is fine

I would say lock in September and really just grind those 2 subjects and maths.

English is rather easy as all you need to do is memorise your Story and see if you can get at least one that can get you 30 marks.
Then just learn how to answer some of the questions in literature paper 2 cause that is annoying.
Remember for Language paper 1 for the 8 marker it is simple just use I forget the structure but I’m sure you can find it. Easy to get over 6 marks in that.
Question 3 the structure question is annoying as hell but you can defo get like 5 if you find at least 3 structure techniques and don’t talk about Language in that question. So just spend like a few days practicing that. Remember the forgetting curve and 80/20 rule.

English is a bit subjective but objective facts can easily get you a 6/7 if you have some nuance.

Now for any science paper honestly I never took triple officially but I know that honestly the easiest ways to get marks is to memorise certain scientific facts and also just answer the maths questions as I did that and I got easy marks honestly.

I used spaced repetition when studying and honestly you just need some focus as GCSE’s ain’t hard.

Lock in from September to December/January of Year 11 and then do some light study after that and you’ll be fine.

Quick way to see where your at is to simply go through the specification of your module and see what your certain of and do some past papers and identify what you don’t know. Then just study that.

Maths at GCSE level is just repetitive stuff outside of the grade 8/9 questions.

Should be more intensive near exam season.
Really at Exam season you should be studying not as much but still just getting in what you can

If you know enough after you lock in then you should be solid.

I recommend watching some YouTube videos cause I did and they helped me a bit but one thing you should avoid is being lazy as I did that and fuck I could’ve gotten more 8’s if I wasn’t

Yeah but remember to study so that it is more efficient because if you study too long you won’t remember so keep it to like until you learnt or successfully did one thing like let’s say you wanted to practice trig right you would sit down and do a trig worksheet and you will finish that and mark it harshly and review it from they're.

Just be consistent with it

I’m only going to study for the mandatory Maths, English and Science, couldn’t give a fuck if I fail my Foodtech, PE, or Geography.

Good for you man but you will probably be better with 6’s and higher and I think it is worth it because the skills of studying are transferable because it makes you consistent

Yeah they are even I did better than I expected I just didn’t study enough and fumbled some of my exams which is why I didn’t get straight 8’s.

hmm i just did my gcses and id say you should just chill until closer to the exams begin(i started around 5 weeks before). Do you get study leave or not, that week without having to slave in the classroom at 9am was peak, but if you don’t it’s fine. Revise for your mocks(assuming you have them in y11), then when you start to finish the content in certain subjects i’d just start doing past papers, blurting to memorise the bs facts in science but past papers neg all other methods, i remember after half the tests the discourse was basically just people bragging about how they’d seen the Qs in past papers(me included🄹). How good is your memory/do you already have proven ā€œstudy methodsā€ that are actually efficient for you, efficiency is law and most people including my friends at skl made similar ā€œmistakesā€ like revising 30minutes everyday before school from september(no way that shit wasn’t performative🤣) and were very clearly tense/burned out. Beyond revision tho on the day performance is actually/obviously vital, my tips would be to go into the exam hall whenever you please(as long as it’s before the exam ofc🤣) and remember ateotd it’s highkey just filtering out the slaves with better memory from those with worse.
Good luck tho, when i get results and i acc have ā€œcredentialsā€ im down to discuss/share resources since i could just be larping, although i think i got all 9s pretty comfortably tbh.
please no DNR🫤
