Logically thinking it will never work BETTER than fin or dut. Maybe less side effects with comparable effectiveness though

No it’s the opposite. Logically thinking it should work better as it directly occupies the androgen receptor in the scalp and blocks interactions with dht and testosterone.

In practice it’s less likely to work though due to absorption issues

Idk it burned the area i applied it to cause i went through a month on month off cycle three times a coiple months ago due to logistical issues and i just hopped back on but the area i used to apply it to is like way thinner rn hoping i can thicken it back and better

Isn’t that the same case with topical min too ?

Should most people get on oral ?
Never had a problem with topical min but maybe there is reaborption, have been on topical fin long enough to notice anything

Yes there was a study where it gave I think 2x the regrowth as fin after a year

It binds to the androgen receptor it’s strong enough to completely kick out testosterone from the follicle but not dht

But some think due to the sheer volume of 5% solution it’s still enough to out compete dht

The problem is there’s another receptor androgens can bind to that ru doesnt occupy so that explains why some don’t get results

While some literally regrow 3 Norwood levels

And if it goes systemic you’re fucked it turns into nilutamide which is toxic to the body

Can never win against the Norwood reaper

It’s brutal man we figured out how to regrow literal teeth without side effects before hair follicles

I actually have a bottle of ru58841 because fin annihilates my mental health I’m still debating whether to take the risk and use it

You can also try pyrilutamide or wait for breezula to release. Both are weaker than ru and extremely expensive, some people get maintenance but the clinical data is shaky you definitely won’t get the same level of results

How long till u saw fin sides? I use dut orally and fin lipid solution topically for about a month and a half now no sides

This couldn't be more wrong!

It's true that RU binds to androgen receptors and prevents dht from activating them. But 5 alpha reductase inhibitors block dht production itself, meaning there’s no dht available to interact with the receptors in the first place!

Fin/Dut mog

I used it and it has worked well for the temples. Luckily i never got any sides. Apparently the half life is too low to enter the blood stream and cause damage when applied topically. I think it’s very risky if you microneedle with it.

Maybe it depends on your skin thickness too.

It doesn’t block all DHT unless you’re high dosing DUT and even then some people are actually sensitive to testosterone attacking the hair follicles. Thats why for some poor few DUT doesnt even work.

If RU works well for you, it’s better than fin/dut since you’re unlikely to experience the sides associated with fin/dut. If it doesn’t, and it somehow goes systemic the side effects are very dangerous though apparently

I’ve tried using it so many times, usually my sex drive goes up the first month then drops off by month 2, month 3 I start to get a really depressed and numb mood that worsens every month after that. Last time I used it for 8 months things just got worse and worse the longer I was on it.

For most if you’re going to get sides you’ll get them pretty quickly but some people get them randomly years later.

Biology is very unpredictable

Fin didn’t do anything for me
Dut just slowed down balding
Recently started ru, too early to judge.
I found out about this research session and I might diy it tbh.
I’ll mention you in the thread

Scary my libido still up rn hopefully it stays like this Norwood reaper already collected enough

You use ru? Yeah supposedly it does absorb into the blood it’s just that the half life is so short there should be barely any in your system

Yeah maybe the people who have problems absorb it too quickly

Yes. Had some decent results but I think it’s mainly holding grown now. Haven’t tried fin or DUT yet. No sides from it at all.

Please do

Yeah if 2.5mg dut AND ru doesnt even stop it you genuinely must have a autoimmune or thyroid issue

No I would never use it tbh not worth the bloat and the cardiac effects

I used topical min for a few months before had great regrowth on my hairline I just stopped because I was paranoid it was only concealing things temporarily, since then just been on fin by itself and had great regrowth from that too

Supposedly the cardiac effects are way overblown since for actual BP lowering the dosage is like 5-10 times higher but again it depends on how you respond and your current heart health.

You shouldn’t have stopped. It improves the health of all hair follicles by bringing more blood to them.

Don’t think it’s an autoimmune issue, thyroid could be not impossible.. I’ll get it checked out sometime

I just skimmed it will read the whole thing later but it reminds me that some people use ahk-cu to get regrowth, copper peptides do address some pathways but overall not nearly as strong as minox

It pretty much works on multiple factors but it stimulates the body to form more blood vessels on your scalp which will cause more hair follicle formation and stimulation
Stacked with a dht blocker and minoxidil should gigamog

From Reddit
I saw that too one guy got lung damage visible from an x ray, some people also reported heart issues on ekg

NSAAs like Nilutamide can have the same effect which further convinces me ru is just a topical version of that

Yeah it just doesn’t make sense to me since topical works fine but if you don’t get results from topical it’s not the worst idea

Also extended release minoxidil is releasing next year, you will be able to get the results of like 20mg oral but only have 1mg in your system at a time

I thought that it just kind of brings up zombie hairs that will die anyway without addressing dht

Nice man any progress pics?
Nah man I stopped taking photos it was causing too much stress but I measure it against a small mole I have on my temple. It’s like a fiducial marker.

Might have to start taking photos again because I don’t think there’s many any more growth though. That’s why I’m thinking of trying fin and oral min too

Reminds me of verteporfin, that’s another one I’m excited about

Glaucoma drug that blocks the formation of scar tissue and stimulates healing, it’s like $600 but theoretically injected in the scalp could generate new hair follicles from bare skin if you make incisions and cause tissue damage first

It’s hard to evaluate that because pharma literally dropped the drug but apparently some guy who contacted the scientists behind it said it was due to funding rather than a poor safety protocol.

If you get sides from it, again you’re likely to get it quickly and it’s usually reversible. Not sure how the lung damage occurred as it takes a long time.

The scary thing is the unknown potential sides. What if it causes cancer or something ? It’s similar to sarms as it’s safety is mainly unknown

Would you be trying the new extended release oral minoxidll that is coming out. Apparently in gives 24 hour support to the scalp and might actually have lower side risks to the normal oral min ?

If it’s expensive I probably won’t because topical min is good enough, Im only nw2 but it definitely gives the best results out of any dosage in the studies

If you can maintain NW2 throughout your life I think overall it’s not a failo.

Plenty of moggers like Chris evans, Theo James, Henry Cavill ect had NW2s in their prime.

I just want to maintain my current level now and focus on other things but sadly life doesn’t always let you have what you want

Yeah no one in my family or even grandparents are fully bald they just have a bit of recession, but I did start losing at 16 and hair got a little thinner all over so I’m just trying to guarantee maintenance too

How long have you been on ru? Hopefully that can maintain you

I have been on it for about 2 years now.

My issue is that I can’t really afford any loss at all because I was born with pretty weak temples. They’ve never really been filled in even as a kid. The one good thing i strangely have very prominent temporal peaks ( the triangles) and thick hair which so far saves me

Don’t stress thickness is the most important part, even Norwood 3 is doable as long as you aren’t thinning

If you ever notice loss which is unlikely being on ru could add ketoconazole 2% or experiment with low dose topical fin
