It is a great shame on a man to not know more than two. I in general do not like slavs or germanics, I like no one of you lot. I only like God.

no, logically, i don’t fucking need to know any other slavic languages. i know 4 languages: russian, french, english, spanish, and i will start teaching portugese in a while, and that’s all i need. In the Czech Republic or Croatia, people can speak English, Belarusian and Ukrainian speech are extremely similar to Russian, so I understand them, besides, Ukrainians and Belarusians can speak Russian. I will not need knowledge of other Slavic languages anywhere, even in countries where it is the official main language. I know and learn those languages that will really be useful to me

Ukraine never has been and never will be a real country

"If they (Directorate of Ukraine) do not come to their senses and again drive out all the Russian officials and put all their uneducated young people in their places, then chaos will ensue, no better than what happened under the Central Rada. When I told the Ukrainians: "Wait, don’t rush, create your own intelligentsia, your own specialists in all branches of state administration," they would immediately bristle and say: "That’s impossible".Galicians are more educated, but unfortunately, their culture, due to historical reasons, differs too much from ours. Moreover, among them there are many narrow-minded fanatics, especially in the sense of professing the idea of hatred towards Russia. It was precisely this kind of Galicians who were the best agitators sent to us by the Austrians. For them, it is unimportant that Ukraine without Great Russia will suffocate, that its industry will never develop, that it will be entirely in the hands of foreigners, that the role of their Ukraine is to be populated by some kind of stagnant peasantry. Here, incidentally, this hatred is stoked by Uniate priests. With the beginning of the German disorganization, it was not the people who raised the rebellion, the people wanted only peace. It was the work of the Ukrainian socialist parties, for whom a tempting picture emerged of seizing power before the anticipated arrival of the Entente. They were also egged on by Galicians, for whom it was important to present to the Entente not the true picture of the Ukraine that actually exists, i.e., one having a sharp divide between Galician Ukraine and our Ukraine. In reality, these are two different countries. The entire culture, religion, and worldview of the inhabitants are completely different between them. The Great Russians and our Ukrainians created together, by common effort, Russian science, Russian literature, music, and art, and to renounce this high and good heritage of ours in order to take the wretchedness that the Galicians so naively and kindly offer us Ukrainians is simply ridiculous and unthinkable. As much as I consider it necessary for children to speak at home and in school the same language their mother taught them, to know in detail the history of their Ukraine, its geography, as much as I deem it necessary for Ukrainians to work on creating their own culture, to that same extent I consider it senseless and ruinous for Ukraine to tear itself away from Russia, especially in a cultural sense. With the free development of both Russian and Ukrainian culture existing among us, we can flourish, but if we now renounce the former culture, we will merely become a doormat for other nations and will never be able to create anything great."- From "Memories: The end of 1917 - December 1918" by Pavlo Skoropadsky.

Well,he wasn't like a nationalists from Galicia , someone like Bandera, who even refused offer from ROA and Vlasov to fight together against soviets, because of his russofobia

Why did my hetman said this? Probably, his relationship with tsar impacted this quote . He had good relationship with tsar. But that doesn't mean he thought about Ukraine as Mallorossyia. He just wanted to keep close relationship with this two countries, that's all
