It's a shaping operation. Nobody said Ukraine would get all their territory back in a single day. It's just fierce fighting as Ukraine seeks vulnerabilities in Russian defenaive positions. It'll probably take weeks to determine the outcome. But for now, Denis Pushilin is already scared because of the heavy artillery smashing Russian troops in Donetsk. There's gonna be heavy losses on both sides just as it was last time during the 2022 Kherson counteroffensive.
