i was never a techcel, and it's too hard to find a good chef job in my town, id need to move out but i don't have the money for now.

I'll most likely work as either waiter or night security guard tho, since night security guard is an easy job to get because no one wants to work nights and i don't mind it

Not enough education finished to be a bar tender IIRC. I did finish a course tho. I'll see if there's any offers nearby.

And IDRK how to look for jobs/money making opportunities with online stuff, like coding etc.

I was never taught how to do adult shit, like i know that if i wanna get hired for ex. as a cashier i just need to call the store but when it comes to anything else nahh

You are in poland right? Yeah there are lot of GCCs around Warsaw and krakow you can definitely get hired as a software dev and make good money but the main challenge is going to be the lack of a degree. A lot of these companies use formal education as an initial filter so to get past that you'll need to put in lot of extra work to prove your skills

Why is computer science number 2 ? It’s had the biggest enrolment drop off of any degree and has one of the highest graduate unemployment rates.

Wrong for mechanical engineering. Earlier a lot of mechanical engineering students used to to go into manufacturing but automation has progressed so far in this area that a lot of high value and mid value manufacturing has slashed away jobs. Earlier you needed 2 guys on a lathe and a mill. For high volume production thats an entire shop of 50 to 100 people. Now 3-5 guys can open a shop and buy 5 axis CNC for high volume mid value production.

On the design side, Dassault and Siemens are top dogs in making Design software i.e. Dassault Solidworks/3dExperience CATIA and Siemens SolidEdge/Siemens NX. Both the companies are tying AI with their software packages. Users cant go anywhere else because Open Source CAD software is shit and these 2 are the only ones students are familiar with so most companies expect experience on these 2.

Lastly, the final avenue is simulation. Here, AI automation is still very possible although I havent heard of it being used. But it doesnt matter because a very small proportion of Mechanical Engineers end up getting simulation jobs. Think of the number of CS guys getting into quant. Thats what simulation jobs are. Very rare

There are way fewer career paths for average mechanical nigga outside of China, USA and Japan compared to just 50 years ago. Now imagine what ai and generative design is going to do

IMO that’s why civil engineering is always the most versatile. They still need them. Mechanical is too niche.

Civil as in related to building services and construction, those jobs will still have fieldwork so it will take time. But it is going to suffer same fate. Bentley is the software for planning roads and stuff or so I have heard. That will also get generative design. But I dont know anything else

I own a construction company, I can tell you that almost none of these jobs are safe, calling them "safe degrees" is misleading too the qualification isn't what determines whether the work is secure.

if a task can be automated or outsourced reliably at a much lower cost, businesses will do it. You don’t need to replace an entire profession to reduce the number of people employed in it. still needing someone to oversee the work or sign it off doesn’t protect every job underneath them.

a lot of office admin jobs will be reduced.
