Salt has the properties of attracting water. After we consumed too much sodium our body store it in ECM which is 2/3 of where the water is. What if you gargle or hold salt water in your mouth for few mins wouldn’t that cause those extra water from ECM on the face to diffuse/osmos to the salt gargle water?

I also wonder if it works wouldn’t RAAS counteract it because it seems to be the main modulator on Sodium manipulation in the body.

yes legit i got hollow cheeks when i increased my salt intake

Tissue inside your mouth is covered in mucus and epithelial tissue that servers as a protective barrier against all sort of things.

Simply holding salt water for a reasonable time won’t do much besides drying out the thin layer of cells covering the inside of your mouth.

So no, it won’t work as you might expect for debloating your face

But maybe if you keep it for a really long time, unreasonably long, probably >4hours you might see results, but it would likely come with unwanted effects.
