Old news. Nobody is going to get a check for $5M. It is possible some $200,000 checks will be issued to Kangz that have lived in SF all their lives and are now 60+. I am not really taking anything about this commission seriously. This is clearly, at least it is clear to me, motivated by a desire to stimulate a national political discussion on reparations (imagine being in that much of a bubble). It will not be any more successful than SF's basic income program from 2 years ago.
