I have always thought of the sandwich method as stupid because it doesnt sound that it should work, i mean your applying your strongest retinoid after moisturizing, that part is fine to me (moisturize, retinoid) but what doesnt make sense is the part after the retinoid where you apply ur moisturizer again?! i mean arent you literally just rubbing off the retinoid from the area of the face you lathered it on? i dont use the sandwich method and my skin hasnt been dry ever sinse, now ofc i dont use a serious retinoid (tret 0.05%) but before i used to do this routine for night time (cleanse, toner, tret) and that would leave my skin really dry, but now my routine is this (cleanse, moisturizer, tret) and to me its working perfectly fine, but yes i still get dry skin sometimes and its mostly around my lips but thats mainly cause the lips are a sensitive area and im not supposed to put it on my lips in the first place. now my skin is very weird i can sense my skin getting better because i took a trip for 1 week down near the equator where theres more sun and i came back with my acne practically gone, mind u when i was on vacation i didnt even bring any skin care with me, so the real method is the sun but during winter ima have to get back on tret and i just want to make sure i know everything about how to make my skin perfectly flawless so should i use the sandwich method? or is it not real? pls reply to this with all questions u got and hate i will answer and learn from my mistakes if i did any.
