Little guy was two, maybe three years old if I had to guess. Noticed him wandering around the aisle while I was looking for some shit. I didn't realize it at first, but he was looking for his parents. Now you might assume that's no big deal. Happens sometimes. But view it from the parents' perspective. Imagine you're a parent and you're more concerned with miniscule things like looking for stuff in a hardware store that you literally forget about your own flesh and blood walking next to you. That's telling. It reminded me of one of my earliest memories when I was in this forest park with my family and got lost too. Some woman noticed me and picked me up to look for my family. Found them eating lunch together shortly after.

I've had the little guy's face stuck in my head for the whole day and I hate myself for not jumping in to help him.

If it happens again just bring them to the cashiers and they can use the speaker in the store to tell the parents their kid is up front.

Most kids are just overreacting.

I panicked when I didn't see my parents for 5 minutes in the store lol

Were they disappointed when they saw you?

he wasn't overreacting. that's why i was kinda oblivious at first.

You are overthinking, my cousin often leaves the child playing computer games in the mall because the child wants to, then they find each other wherever.
