It does in their world. Relationships are way more profitable than raw wealth. A well connected person or family has way more power in China than someone who's just filthy rich and they don't always go hand in hand. Relationships are everything.

Well a lot of the Han in China are fishmongers and work the paddies. But yeah, they consider themselves the superior race. That being said they don't consider all other Asians the same. Japs are hated but they consider them almost on their level. Next would be Koreans who they consider "little Chinese". Then would probably be Thais or Cambodians. The lowest would be Vietnamese and Filipinos.
