I was on a trip with a girl over the country once. I picked flowers for her and put them into her hair. She'd get them out and throw them away and step on them, in a mean way.
Later I did it again, with a similar flower like in your pic, but smaller blossom. Wanted to put it into her hairs again, but got so depressed upon remembering the last time...
I dug up a hole and put the flower in it, it was all for nothing, but still. Felt doubly bad, because I picked a flower and wasted it on nothing.
