Post scarcity society is a very real possibility and it is the only way to legitimately make the world a better place.

It is a possible solution. The solar system has more than enough matter/energy for every human to live like a king for millions of years. If we can get human-level ai, fusion, fission, and solar to work most basic human desires can be easily fulfilled. This is all possible within the known laws of physics. @barcacel

That honestly depends on if technology in the future would advance to the standard where this would actually be possibly. The issue is here we have many finite/non renewable reasoures that we relay upon such as goal/oil. If we run out of this shit and have not found better alternatives we will be fucked anally.

We have huge reserves of thorium for fission and lithium and deuterium for fusion on right here on earth. Not to mention the 100 million tons of helium 3 on the moon and unlimited solar energy in space. We just need to figure out how to use all this energy economically.
