Solitary confinement. After a while your brain just cant take it anymore and you start hallucinating, its almost like a slow death ,a reversal to a more primordial way of being when you were but a wee foetus in the oceanic womb conjuring up archetypes to prepare you for the hellworld that you were about to enter; but this time its to prepare yourself for the night of the soul. This is why I believe reincarnation has to be a real possibility to be considered ,there are too many metaphors that only the blind refuse to open their eyes and look at - day night summer winter birth death etc etc. Whether this follows the laws of the buddhist doctrines I do not know. @_MVP_

This guy can cease his consciousness using his will for up to 6 day and it's not like sleep because his meditative posture stays upwards and pain can't get him out of that state. He would have no problem with solitary confinement.

Still 6 days after who knows his body will strive for Hormesis and he’ll attain ultra consciousness which is the exact opposite of what you want in confinement
