I was rewatching some scenes from my favorite 90s teen movies (I’m a nostalgic oldcel) and I came across this gem from Can’t Hardly Wait
Jennifer Love Hewitt rejects the chad. He acts like jerk and creates an awkward silence, that’s only broken when some random girl yells “FAG!” And everyone laughs at him. So silly, so harmless, so carefree. Yet if someone dared to recreate this scene in Hollywood today the girl would probably yell “toxic man!” or some bs like that, or otherwise risk everyone involved in the movie being cancelled. It’s a bummer knowing movies like this will never exist again.
