A guide to fragrance clones
I am putting this in off topic bc it's not looksmaxxing but still it can be helpful to people. This is not a retard guide advising to buy 50 fragrances that cost 200 usd/pc and which will be useless if you look like shit anyway. But for a mtn+, just buying 1 or 2 fragrances for cheap can be a very low effort way to not stink like a swamp creature and girls will appreciate that.
Some might say it is gay to put effort into this but first of all, the point it to make it low effort, and second, the gays know some stuff like this better so we should learn from them and profit.This is my first thread. I have put in spoilers, coloured, and big text, so i hope it meets the quality standards.
Cheap fragrances - What are clones?
Popular fragrances are overpriced because of the brands; BOSS, Creed, Althair, etc. They smell nice and they have fancy bottles, but paying 200+ for a few ml of fragrance is kind of a waste. Thus, many low iqs will go online and order fakes/dupes from China. They look the same and smell kind of similar (hopefully), but the scents don't last because these are very low quality products optimised for maximum profit. Even irl you may come across these in shady shops/markets, but don't be fooled: if they are cheaper than the normal retail price they are probably fake.
But there is also a high iq solution for this: these are dupes. Nowadays it's mostly UAE companies producing these, but also others nowadays. They take popular fragrances, then attempt to duplicate them, but with high quality ingredients. Also, they are legal unlike fakes. So they will have different (often similar) names and packaging. They will smell very close to the originals. Even if not 100% the same, it is no big deals. Normies would never notice such minor differences and even if they did, it's not like a difference means it smells worse anyway. But as i said, usually it is not even perceivable to a normal person.
Here I will show some examples of some original classics along with dupe variants so you have an idea of the difference:
Even though they are cheap, they still look nice, which doesn't even matter but it's a nice bonus. And the quality is on par with the originals but for a tenth of the price... Note that besides the low price, the clones usually also come in very large sizes (around 100ml usually). So by spending perhaps 100 eur, you can get around three x 100ml which will be plenty variety for any occasion/season and last you a very long time.
Finding a good scent - What to buy if you are clueless
I am not typing out a massive guide on this. It's just a simple extra to raise your status a little and it's just nice to smell good. But there are some basic things you should keep in mind.
Concentration
There are a few types of fragrances. More concentration = spend more money = smell lasts longer. So if possible you usually will want to go with the strongest variant. A fragrance will not always be sold in every type of variant, usually EDP is te strongest and what you want to buy. I found this image which explains it simply:
Seasonality
To keep things simple, just buy one for spring/summer and one for autumn/winter. You can buy more but I don't see the point personally. Also, if you switch it up all the time, the scent will not really become associated with you, which I think is what you want once you've found a good one.
So what scents to go with? Some people make this a whole scientific thing, but it's really common sense: summer = fresh and sweet; winter = heavier, roasty, warm if you get what I mean. If you have a somewhat functioning brain this is not difficult to understand. So just go to a shop and check out some scents of good brands in these two categories, ie winter and summer. Also, don't just blind buy fragrances because the bottles look fancy. Nobody will see those anyway. What matters is that you like the smell and that it suits you. So even though it's scary, you'll have to go outside to the shop and perhaps even ask an employee if you can check out some fragrances. But i believe in you.
I also found this image which explains it a bit more but it really isn't worth it to make this a whole scientific study: just try some things and pick some fragrances that suit you. Don't look at the brands too much, it is about smelling good and finding something that matches with your style/personality. Eg, dont go with some super dark heavy cigar/whiskey type of smell that would suit a mob boss if youre a twink, it's not authentic. Again, just use your brain, this is common sense.
Special occasions
Now that you got your seasons covered, what about special occasions? You can add one extra fragrance for things like parties/diners/dates to mix things up and make it special. I don't have much to say about this. Again just find something that suits you, but for this one make sure it's not too similar to your usual fragrances so it stands out.
Uniqueness
Even though some popular fragrances might smell good, personally I avoid buying some that are extremely common. Eg, 1 Million by Paco Rabanne or JPG Le Male is what everyone and their mom get's for Christmas each year. If you really like it, sure, go for it, but if you can find something more unique that might be the smarter choice as you will not only smell good but also stand out for it a bit.
NOTE: Earlier I posted some examples for inspiration/as an example of a good selection. Note that the first one would be good for winter, LV for summer, and Cobalt for special occasions. Personally i have the first and last one so I know they are good options.
Finding the correct clones - How to use the clone spreadsheet
So by now you should have 2 seasons + 1 special occasion = 3 fragrances picked out at the store. But since you'd be paying hundreds for them ordinarily and we are poor (or even if you aren't, why waste money?), you don't buy them but write down the names. Then when you're at home, you will use the clone fragrance finder spreadsheet to find the correct clone for each fragrance.
There are many tools to help with this online. The most simple one I found is CloneSpreadsheet.com

You can also just google the name and but "clone" after it to easily find clones.
When you've found the clones you want, just find some website that sells them and they'll be delivered right to your door and that's it. You'll smell good for cheap and without putting in much effort. Be careful not to end up like those people who buy 100 scents because they get addicted to buying colourful bottles. It is useful and a waste of money. But if you stick to this basic guide, it can be a simple scentmaxx to apply and maybe make a tiny positive difference to how you are perceived.
