Ngl this is a very water take, but it I still wanna rant.
People love pulling out numbers to justify hating Black people IQ, crime rates, all that. But half the time they don’t even understand what they’re quoting. IQ scores go up with access to education, resources, environment all things that aren’t evenly distributed because of the negative feedback look we have in the US. But instead of thinking critically, they just use numbers to confirm what they already want to believe.
But honestly, that’s not even what bothers me because that’s everyone lol.
What gets me is how many of these people talking about “superiority” are just… losers.
Like, I recently had a dude talking crazy to me racist comments, slurs, the whole thing. And what confused me wasn’t even the racism. It was that he seemed genuinely convinced that he was better then me in some way that would make our mutual hg pick him over a dude like me.
And I’m sitting there thinking why are you surprised?
Yeah, I’m black and I’m not where I want to be, not the best-looking dude in the room actually on the lower end of the bell curve.
But at the same time I’ve gotten into three top HFT firms. I go to one of the best engineering schools in the country for free off merit. I’ve written four research papers. I’m building tech to help disabled people. I’ve had companies like Optiver reach out to me without me even applying. I’m 6’3, Im decently jacked.
I’m not saying I’m that guy. I’m saying I put more effort into life then him by a huge margin.
Meanwhile, the same dude calling me inferior is overweight, stuck, and clinging to the fact he’s white like it’s an achievement.
That’s the part I can’t wrap my head around.
How do you convince yourself you’re better than someone who’s outworking you, outbuilding you, and actually trying to become something just because your ancestors were born somewhere else?
At some point, you have to drop the delusion.
In the future if a racist wants to talk crazy to me he better actually be superior in some way that isn’t just being related to potato farmers in Germany instead of a Yoruba hunter. No one works for that.
