I think that on a general note is common for the elites to be more tolerant - not openly but amongst themselves - of homossexuality, whilst the plebe's sexual morality throughout history is heavily centered around steady and continuous procreation hence homossexuality amongst working class people is often shunned even back in the times of ancient greece and rome
