I think Divergent Thinking is pure evil and trash.
Because Mathematics and Physics both require strong Convergent Thinking "seeing similarities between different aspects of a single concept and consolidating them by synthesizing them into a single structured framework". It's about "connecting the dots". It's about the natural progression of a train of thoughts, the natural succession of a given point or an idea. "Then therefore..." and "if this is so then obviously it goes therefore without saying". It's about the "shared relatedness" of things aiming towards a cohesive singularity.
Divergent thinking is just messy and all over the place. Extreme form of this would be disorganized thinking and speech and talking nonsense (found in some forms of Schizophrenia).
A structured life is important to create homogeneity across the vast expanse of a lifespan. Having the motivation to do things in order to prioritize the importance of your life for maximal efficiency in order to be satisfied with achieving goals. "I accomplished what I needed to do based off what is relevant to me". There is that "prioritization" of things in order to feeling a fulfilled life. "Seeing things ahead" "so that you may work towards them".
That's why INTJs are so successful in life because they plan long term and "filter" out the noise. That's why INTJs are always so driven and achievers in life.
