School is senseless in terms of knowledge. You won’t need 99% of the stuff may be except maths, languages and other basic world knowledge. But it helps to filter out high IQ individuals and low IQ subhumans. Smart kids join universities and make a career in high paying intellectualy demanding jobs, such as engineers, doctors, lawyers and consultants, if they have enough motivation of course. While slow thinkers, people with bad memory, and others who find learning difficult, go into low prestige careers, often tied to manual labor. At least so it functions in the societies where education system is more or less meritocratic in terms of tuition fees. I am the latter one, a low IQ subhuman, who always found it difficult to memorize stuff, I don’t remember when I could just “get it” last time. I need weeks to learn what other grasp in days. I am near to fail college, and probably, simple manual labor is my limit. The winner takes it all, the loser has to fall. The thing is, if you’re truly smart, school won’t feel hard at all for you, may be sometimes stressful, but you will just grasp the stuff
