The way I would explain it to someone, It’s sort of a shittier trade school like they have in USA, but instead because they did not finish primary or secondary school that’s how I would explain it to someone.

its basically a school where u can boost your grades after finishing high school, so lets say ur gpa or w.e is bad and u want to get into a good uni, u can just go to adult school and do the tests etc when ur older to boost ur gpa
