I've heard people saying darker skin makes your muscles show up more. But its literally the polar opposite, and that is propaganda nonsense.
People tan in bodybuilding shows because golden tanned skin is the beauty standard in the west. and bodybuilding is about aesthetics of your body
If you want the biggest contrast and want your muscles to show the most, and look the biggest, ideally you'd have as porcelain white skin as possible
Think about it for a second.
If you want your muscles to show better. You want shadows between your abs, under your chest , delts etc..
What colour are shadows? Black/dark grey
If you contrasted white skin with black shadows. would your shadows be more obvious cos there is more contrast? YES. White skin makes you look stronger, bigger, more muscular
If you contrasted black skin with black shadows. Would your shadows be obvious? NO. You would barely be able to see your shadows cos your skin is BLACK and it hides the shadows. Black skin makes you look weaker, smaller, less muscular
So the hierarchy of who will look more muscular with the same amount of muscle would be
1. White men
2. Tanned men
3. Black men(weakest people)
