TLDR: they put a coin machine inside a chimpanzee reservoir, that machine would spit out a certain amount of coins per chimpanzee when they would push a button. Then there was a food dispenser that would accept those coins and then give out fruit and other snacks in return. So when the chimpanzee figured out that coins meant food, the female chimpanzees started to refuse having sex with the male ones. One male figured out that if he gave the female some of his coins she would have sex with him and soon all females only had sex in exchange for coins. So basically, the female chimpanzees saw the demand and abused that.
