Hi Do you think it is possible to correct a 12-degree scoliosis at the age of 17?

try going to chiro but it will cost a lot
best bet would be working out and having the best ergonomically correct environment, that way you will naturally build muscle

Are building back muscles enough?
Building back muscles is the primary factor, but you have to look for things that affect your posture, ironically you can do things right and still end up failing, figure out if you have forward head posture, cause if you do correct it,
so tldr focus on building back muscles, especially on the upper of the back(where neck is) traps, delts and try not to slouch, you can opt for pushups once you get comfortable get to pull ups asap. If you have the will then hanging on a pull up bar for at least 10 mins a day will give you a significant change in life.
Im giving you a very short but subjective opinion but its up to you to workout and figure it out, also ergonomic posture helps a lot cause example if you play games non stop and work out then the biggest killer is the amount of u slack off and compare it to sports
its big dnr but you get it i suppose
