How come in the Scream movie franchise, ghost face only kills popular, good looking people?

You never see ghostface go after some ugly lonely fat loser who sits in his bedroom at his moms house. He always kills friend groups.

We need more slasher movies that involve the killing of ugly fat shy guys. Why do the movies have to portray the victims in such a cool light? It makes me wanna be them

Because the loners have already suffered enough. Reminds me of this scene from Split where the killer let's the last girl live just because he sees she is not a popular happy person but rather a broken loner.

Look…movies need to include religious fat shy happy Mexican guys being killed. But they don’t! Because no one wants to see that. The whole point of slashers is to make the viewer jealous — every viewer of scream wishes they were in the movie being killed instead

It's pretty much the norm in slasher movies to kill the good looking people, it's the killer who's usually a loser, ugly, deformed, crazy, etc. and he wants revenge, maybe because he's been bullied or does it just for the fun of it.
