Why scrolling causes you to become nd

Hey guys! Its time to put the phone down and stop scrolling, its making you nd. When you scroll, you trick your brain to think youre actually having social interaction. However, when you scroll, youre missing two of the most vital parts of social interaction and building connections. The first one is actually speaking to the person youre interacting with, when you scroll, you only get spoken to, so your brain treats every social interaction like this so when its time to actually speak to someone you dont know what to do because youre so used to not needing to speak to people. The second one is scrolling is not an inperson interaciton, meaning no connection is actually built. When youre brain floods with dopamine and gets tricked into interaction when you scroll, you feel happy, as if youre building true human connection, but the truth is you arent. So when it becomes time to put the phone down to do something or go somewhere, you'll feel more disconnected as none of your connections are made in the real world. This mix of de-training your brain how to interact with other humans and feeling isolated and disconnected because all of your percieved "connections" are online is what causes people to become nd.

True scrolling is mostly one of the reasons I can't hold a conversation for 5mins
