Everybody knows Usain Bolt, but nobody remembers Yohan Blake
This could be a stretch, but I believe this philosophy also applies to the real world and social interactions
Lets say you are the 2nd or 3rd tallest in your class (or 2nd or 3rd good looking) , it truly holds substantially less value than being the first. Sure you are tall or mog, but you aren't the TALLEST -
Everybody's attention goes to the #1 person, your feats or accomplishments are overshadowed and normalized because there are BIGGER FISH
Lets say your talking to this foid and your 6'2 and MMTN, but there's a 6'4 LHTN kid in your class - the foids attention will always drift towards the biggest fish
You will never truly earn the respect and admiration from others unless you are truly one of a kind.
