Seeking balance in life

Ok, here's the thing. Life is complex. Every action we take creates a certain degree of imbalance in our dopaminergic system, the so-called hedonic treadmill.
Eastern philosophies understood this very early on. Hence... The classic Buddhist-like advice to not get too attached to things and to let go, Star Wars Jedi docet.
I wonder if living like an amoeba in this way is really the solution. Or maybe it’s better to dive in and live a constant roller coaster, knowing that sooner or later, nostalgia and physical decay will make us pay the price.

I’m still trying to find my life philosophy.

The breakup with my first girlfriend as a teen was the biggest turning point of my life. It made me aware of death.
