I just turned 17 and im going to have a septoplasty. I broke my nose when i was 15 and sinne that day, nosebreathing has been a pain. I have always had a straight/upturned nose til i broke it. But after i broke it, i have had a bump on my nose and its a littlebit crooked. Im wondering if the septoplasty would fix the fact that it isnt straight or would i have to pay for the rhino to (the septum is free)

would need a front profile image to see if it’s the septal deviation causing the misalignment with your face’s midline. no, septoplasty won’t get rid of your dorsal hump, and you’d have to pay for the rhinoplasty

A septoplasty should fix the nasal deviation, but take into consideration that rather from deviating from somewhere in your nose with cartilaginous tissue, it begins to deviate from the top, where the nose is comprised of bone tissue. Make sure you ask the surgeon about this, but I think it should. In fact, look at my last post and you’ll see that we have a very similar case, where one of our nostrils looks bigger than the other due to the septal deviation, which in your case as in mine begins from the upper nose (I’m judging your nose from the only front profile image you’ve posted, haven’t looked at your profile)
