Sounds like she is a single mom. Single moms are fucked up mentally. She probably didnt want you to grow up too fast, get your personal life going, cause then she would lose you as her source of attention and companionship.

Ppl always act like mothers want the best for their children, and that is maybe correct until a certain age of the child, but at one point they only care about what will change for them if they let an adult child start his own life, move out and so on.

Not single mother, but,both my parents absolutely hated the idea of me talking to girls in college. They’d actively scold me if I even spoke to them. Idiots
