I had my appointment with my dermatologist and I told her that I was worried that accutane would affect my growth, she told me that I could go to an endocrinologist or perform x ray what is what im going to do for sure to clear up any doubts and stay calm but that she never heard what I was telling her and that she had no fucking idea about it, it's an outdated old woman but I would like to know what you think about my doubt please be serious and attach a study if your opinion is 100% correct, if you took isotretinoin, tell me as an affection for your growth, how tall your parents are and how tall you are, or if your dermatologist tells you about this or if you continued growing after treatment

Yes, that is the argument that all dermatologists usually say and it is the one I stick with. The only problem is that I don't quite understand when they say that the genetic potential of full height is not compromised, but I don't understand how it is possible that they know that or come to that conclusion if after all you can't know what your maximum is. potential if you didn't reach it. I explain? That is, how can doctors know that your final height had not been compromised if perhaps you did not reach your final height from the treatment and you do not know it? That is, the only way to know what a person's final height is without the use of isotretinoin is for them to reach that height without the use of isotretinoin. So if I take isotretinoin, how do you know that your final height had not been compromised? or what would be my height if I had never taken it???

okay, I understand, I also read that study, but for a classic case of acne and a standard treatment for it, how much are we talking about? millimeters perhaps ?
